Immersion FORD cup

Immersion cup for on-site measurement. This kind of FORD cup is a factory-calibrated viscometer, it satisfies the US Standard, ASTM D 1200 specifications, to determine the viscosity of liquids. It is commonly used in the industrial sector as well as in research laboratories. However, only low-viscosity liquids can measure with this method accurately. Because the liquids cannot pass through the nozzles if their viscosity is too high. Therefore, you can tested by the flow cup meter with the highest accuracies the Newtonian liquids.

How to use it?

You can use this immersion cup for quick on-site measurement, just immerse it to the material to check viscosity. You can start the time measurement as soon as you lift the cup and the liquid escapes from the nozzle, and the time is stopped as soon as the liquid does not run smoothly anymore or stops.

When you finish your measurement, it is crucial that you clean the FORD cup for accurate viscosity measurement, from dried-on residues can impair the next measurement result. You should also make sure not to use pointed or sharp tools for cleaning because scratches and abrasion also affect the result.
